Why do Baltimore Ravens fans hate the Washington Redskins?
I have never understood it. Theres no rivalry between the two teams, its probably because the Redskins get more media coverage than them because they have way more fans and history. I used to like the Ravens as an AFC team but the fans were buttholes and I cant stand them.
One would assume it is a geographical rivalry, like many other sport cities. Baltimore had baseball, while D.C. had football, basketball and hockey. Now they both have baseball and football, so there is a natural rivalry.
Well being close rivarly is one big reason but also remember when Baltimore pulled out to Indianapolis. Baltimore tried to get an a new team into the NFL a few times but the owner of the Redskins voted against them having another NFL team thats why Jacksonville and Carolina had NFL teams today because of that block from the Redskins owner it wasnt until Cleveland moved that Baltimore landed its team and Redskins owner had a voice but little power in stopping the City of Baltimore in getting a NFL team. I was living in Baltimore during those days and I tell you those Ole Colt fans didnt like it to well when Redskin owner howled and complained when Baltimore kept trying to get a new team into the NFL that also added fuel to the hatred for the Redskins.
I'm a Ravens fan, from Baltimore, I've never had a problem with the 'skins, and i don't know anyone who does, we hate the steeler, the eagles, and the browns more than anyone... and the Titans used to be our most hated rival until they changed the divisional line up. Proximity does breed rivalry, but I don't know anyone who considers the redskins a rival, we play yall what, every four years?
