John David Booty. He understands the pro system and came from a program that prepared him for the NFL. He has good accuracy, understands a playbook, knows how to distribute the ball evenly and runs the west coast offense well. They asked him who he wanted to be drafted by and he said,"I want to be drafted by the Vikings, I know the west coast offense and could compete for the starting spot". They ended up drafting him a few days later. He was 9-0 against opponents ranked in the top 25, he also won all of his BCS bowl games by blowouts. All of his losses can be on one hand, how many of the other quarterbacks can say that. They obviously dont feel comfortable with Jackson because they drafted Booty.
T Jackson needs more time to develop and he needs to learn how to read defenses. He had 9-10 guys in the box last year trying to stop Adrian Petersin and he still got confused. With time he will be good because he has the arm but not the guy for right now.
Gus Frerotte is a old veteran just there taking roster space. He probably has a arm still but he is past his prime and will most likely get cut when the roster cuts have to be down to 75 then to 53. They have too many quarterbacks and need to fill other slots.
Brooks Bollinger is a journeyman. He is a solid backup and would be a good quarterback to have in the 3rd slot. He is merely experienced depth.
