The stadium they are playing at isn't the Gator Bowl or Alltel Stadium. The name has changed to Jacksonville Municipal Stadium. It use to be the Gator Bowl before Jacksonville got a team. When they got the team they renovated it and it became a NFL stadium. The stadium is used by the Gators when it's Florida Georgia game. So that's the stadium they've been playing at since they started the team.
Brendan F- this website states that it was $135 million RENOVATION PROJECT!!! Yes, they tore some of it down but not all of it. They kept the west upper deck of the old stadium.
It's the same stadium the gator bowl is played in. And to be accurate, they didn't renovate the old gator bowl, they tore it down and built a new one. Alltel's lease agreement on the naming rights expired this past year, and the rights are still available. Until someone pays for the naming rights, it will be known as Jacksonville Municipal Stadium.
