Default LA Clippers or Houston Rockets (the next boston celtics?)?

LA acquired Camby, Davis, Eric Gordon, and Jason Williams. And they also have Kaman too. Eric Gordon is a potential ROY. Im pretty positive they will make to the playoffs this year.

Houston acquired Artest. They have Ming and McGrady. Scola had a very good performance in the Olympics.

Are they the team to watch out for next season?

No way, the rockets are my favorite team but to be realistic of all the players you just named other than McGrady and Yao none of them are on the level of Garnett and Pierce. I wouldn't even put them on Ray Allens level. Problem is your CANNOT win in the nba without superstars and teh clippers are still missing one. Houston should be very good this year if they can stay healthy but i think they need another dominant post because if yao is in foul trouble or hurt they wont be able to match up with a dominant post player.

Well ellisiot, you have to consider that the Clippers already have breakout rookie Al Thornton, Cuttino Mobley, Chris Kaman, and Tim Thomas. You also have to look at the role players they aquired, which is Brian Skinner, Ricky Davis, Steve Novak, Jason Williams, and Marcus Williams. The Clippers are a good team inside and out, you can't doubt them anymore.

And how can I forgot the two main guys, Marcus Camby and Baron Davis. Thats looking like a great team to me so far.

The Clippers are trying to be wannabe Celtics
I don't think Baron Davis, Ricky Davis, and Marcus Camby are better than the big 3.
