Do the Phoenix Suns have a plan?
While the Suns have been ousted twice in the past 3 years by the Spurs, it seems to me that the Suns have done absolutely nothing to address the Tim Duncan issue. The one guy they had who did a decent job on Duncan was Kurt Thomas, and they got rid of him. Who are the Suns going to use now? Marion's not big or strong enough. Stoudemire is a poor defender and gets in foul trouble. Mike D'Antoni has obviously had a successful run and his style is fun to watch. The Suns are very close, I just wish that he would focus some on the defensive end because even if it hurt them a little offensively, they'd still be very good offensively. I don't think he's put enough pressure on Stoudemire to improve his D. Gregg Popovich wouldn't put up with his lazy D. I'm not sure if D'Antoni can lead them to a title and his personnel moves haven't filled their needs. What exactly is his plan? Is he hoping the Mavs will knock out the Spurs for him? I think that's their only chance. How about you?
