I hope that they can continue playing great. It would be good to see a different team make the playoffs. But it's unlikely that they have much of a chance considering their payroll.

I think they could keep it up for a little while, but I really don't see it lasting. The truth is that KC's offense isn't anything to be excited about and the pitching is not nearly as good as its looked the last two days. If they keep running into teams whose offense has gone cold they can win. KC should at least win their upcoming series against the Twins, but they'll look like the team we've all come to know next week when they face the Yankees.
