Default Aren't the Phillies the team to beat in the NL East?

Look at their starting rotation
Cole Hamels
Brett Myers
Kyle Kendrick
Jamie Moyer
Adam Eaton (Phillies have back-ups if Eaton doesen't work out)
We haven't lost any offense accept for Rowand which was replaced by Geoff Jenkins
We got more power at 3rd base by Pedro Feliz
We haven't lost any of our good defense
We have an excellent bullpen by tom gordon, J.C. Romero, and brad lidge
And just because the Mets got Santana does not mean that they can win every game he pitches, or give more offense, or give them a good bullpen

Well yeah I mean they won the NL East last year and they have back-to-back NL MVP's. Too bad the Mets got Johan Santana and already have David Wright and Jose Reyes both a year better.

The Phillies are a really good team and New York teams regardless of how much they spend always seem to fail in crucial situations. On paper the Mets look like the better team, but I will say the Phils come out on top.

No, the Braves are the team to beat. I will continue to let Mets and Phillies fans continue to live in denial though.

that doesnt jump at me buudy, thats not as good of a rotation as you think. the braves have better, and no the mets are the team to beat, with their offense, but i think the braves or phillies could pull it off. and you did lose good defense aaron rowand is great defensively and one of the phillies best overall players.
